Our lawyer-reviewed compliance framework ensures that all web and mobile application data extraction conducted by Crawlexa meets the highest legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
1. Exclusively Public Data Scope
Crawlexa strictly limits all pipeline harvesting activities to publicly available digital data. This encompasses websites and mobile apps accessible to any regular user on the open internet without an authenticated user account, secret authorization token, or paywall subscription.
We do not accept projects requiring the circumvention of login screens, theft of session cookies, or extraction from password-protected private user dashboards.
2. Personal Data (PII) Protection & Redaction
In full alignment with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), Crawlexa enforces automated Personally Identifiable Information (PII) filters across our normalization stage.
Personal contact information, customer names, private phone numbers, physical residential addresses, and financial account identifiers are automatically sanitized or redacted from dataset exports unless explicitly authorized under legitimate commercial B2B directory contracts.
3. Polite Crawling & Server Load Management
Crawlexa strictly condemns Denial-of-Service (DoS) behavior. Our proxy and crawler architectures implement intelligent adaptive request spacing, distributed IP routing, and automatic concurrency throttles.
If target servers respond with HTTP 429 (Too Many Requests), 503 (Service Unavailable), or elevated latency signatures, our orchestrator immediately backs off and distributes queries across larger rotating intervals to ensure target server stability is never compromised.
4. Retention, Security & Data Deletion
Data delivered through Crawlexa is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3 and encrypted at rest using AES-256 standards. We maintain temporary delivery cache buffers for a maximum of 30 days to facilitate re-downloads and schema verification, after which temporary storage volumes are permanently purged.
We do not re-sell, syndicate, or cross-monetize bespoke datasets commissioned privately by our clients.
