1. Zero-Trust Architecture Overview
Crawlexa operates under a strict Zero-Trust Security Model. Every connection, worker node, scraper pod, and cloud destination sync is authenticated, authorized, and cryptographically validated prior to packet processing.
2. Data Encryption Standards
- Encryption in Transit: 100% of external and internal data flows enforce TLS 1.3 transport encryption. Legacy TLS 1.0, 1.1, and unauthenticated HTTP endpoints are strictly rejected at edge load balancers.
- Encryption at Rest: All staging databases, worker temp partitions, and log stores are encrypted using AES-256 with automated KMS key rotation every 90 days.
- Cryptographic Verification: Data batches delivered to client cloud endpoints include SHA-256 checksum manifests allowing receiving systems to immediately confirm file integrity.
3. Destination Authentication & Zero Credential Storage
To deliver data feeds into your enterprise data warehouse (Amazon S3, Google BigQuery, Snowflake, Azure Blob), Crawlexa enforces credential-less authentication:
- AWS S3: Cross-account IAM AssumeRole with external ID verification or pre-signed STS tokens.
- Google BigQuery: Service account delegation with restricted
bigquery.dataEditorscoping. - Snowflake: RSA key-pair authentication over encrypted Snowflake stages.
Crawlexa servers never request or store your root cloud passwords or master administrative API keys.
4. Proxy Mesh Hygiene & Anti-Abuse Controls
Our global distributed network encompasses over 45M+ ethically sourced residential and mobile IP endpoints:
- Ethical Sourcing: All residential exit nodes are sourced via explicit opt-in SDK agreements with end-user consent.
- Automatic IP Quarantine: Nodes showing abnormal latency, socket corruption, or unexpected upstream redirects are quarantined from active pools within milliseconds.
- Autonomous Rate Throttling: Harvest algorithms incorporate token-bucket rate limiters preventing abusive connection spikes on target servers.
5. Vulnerability Management & Incident SLA
Crawlexa infrastructure undergoes continuous automated vulnerability assessment and third-party penetration testing. In the event of a security anomaly or unexpected pipeline disruption, our Security Operations Center guarantees:
- P1 Severity Response: Initial engineer containment within 15 minutes.
- Client Advisory Notice: Verified incident disclosures within 2 hours.
- Post-Mortem Deliverable: Comprehensive root cause analysis (RCA) delivered within 24 business hours.
